When we get a chance to talk about ourselves when applying to colleges, how long should I make this and how many paragraphs?

I don't want to bore the person reading my paper but I want to make sure I highlight the main points
 
Exactly 12 paragraphs adheres to the guildelines set forth by the National College Entrance Advisory Board.
 
talk about what you enjoy, how often you get out and do stuff for the community. where you see yourself in 4 years, etc.

I didn't have to worry about that cause M. Tech just opened the floodgates and let me come pouring in 😀
