Alright, so do any of you know of any scientifically proven links between diet, or supplements and learning performance?

I know I've heard some people swear by certain... substances to enhance their focus.

QFT.

Blueberries have been shown to stimulate increased neurogenesis in the hippocampus (the region of your brain associated with long-term memory, amongst other things).

Blueberries are also very high in fibre. Also, you better watch out what kind of fish you buy. Too much mercury is not very good for your brain.

I heard that eating fish is good for your brain. I don't know how true it is.

My parents tell me that all the time.

I also hear they have fun levels of mercury.

the only source of energy that the brain accepts is glucose.. not fat not proteins.

so candy bars will work, and so does fresh air to keep yourself oxygenated. caffeine will keep you awake but learning is not improved by it.

for me it's coffee and some snacks.

just don't eat it more than 1 - 2 times a week. or you could take supplements of omega-3 if that's what you're looking for? I don't think that helps your brain but maybe your

Your body can convert protein to glucose I believe.

Methamphetamines and beer. It'll get you through anything and solve all your personal problems at the same time.

Yes, a healthy diet (with lots of nutrients, vitamins, etc.) will enhance your concentration. Don't expect wordrous improvements, though.
Edit: drugs may help as well, some (like Speed) can improve your short term memory, but the long term damage they cause makes them a lot less useful.
