With a 7 to 3 ratio of guys to girls there, it might not be such a bad thing to be deferred and have other options. I know it's a great engineering school, but that statistic is just depressing.

7:3? Lucky. My major has a only a few girls per class. Few = 4 in a class of 100+.

I agree, most colleges are like 55:45 in favor of womens, how in your right mind could you go to a college with that many more men than women?

How much is the SAT worth now? I got a 1410 and that was considered a great score, but that was when 1600 was the max. Didn't bother with the ACT, applied early decision to one school, was accepted, never looked back. I was never really that concerned with getting in, I kinda just figured it would happen. Looking back on it, that was probably a bit cavalier... but whatever, fuck it, right?

And these are the kind of girls who would apply to RPI, so you gotta figure your selection at the school is non-existent.

Those same concepts could also apply to RIT further west.

Yeah, was like that when I went to NJIT. We had to import sorority girls from Seton Hall. It was like 85% male. I left before the first semester ended.

$50 per app avg I'm guessing, so....10-11 schools?

OP, were you not confident?

What happened to the SAT? 2040? it used to max out at 1600 :(

makes my 1350 look kinda paltry.
