it's "old school Predator" crap. Ever see the end of that movie? He didn't have a gun in that one, either. And it's not like a gun did him much good earlier in the film anyway. They were trying to make Arnold look all McGuyver-ish.

yea through the whole movie i didnt realize he never used a gun. then the guy at blockbuster told me after i saw it and i was like wtf ?!

He didn't need to (he's a fireman) . . . he did plenty of damage without it.

Anyway, I rented it last night (first of 10 "free" DVD rentals with LOTR purchase at Blockbuster) and it was OK . . . Arnie looks a bit tired (isn't he near 60?) but "acts" better than before. I was disappointed in that I figured out the ending and also thought the story was a bit unrealistic in view of the Columbian men's machismo.

You probably did like me. Your subconscious, linking Arnold, guns, explosions, dark allies, and badguys, subliminally drew a gun over one of his hands at one point in the movie to get rid of that uncomfortable "he's not using any guns ! :Q" feeling.

The story is a somewhat smart by placing the mother of the deaf kid where she is...All through the movie, we could have caught that. However, the story is alittle bit dark for me to enjoy. I got mixed messages from the movie and I kinda liked the movie and kinda didnt...but i bought it anyways

I just watched it on Saturday night - some of it was kind of dumb and predictable but I didn't predict the slut wife would be a sellout... Decent flick.

I saw it over the weekend and it was just like any other Arnold movie. I dont really like him in movies.

Not that it matters, but he had a big M16 with a Grenade Launcher for most of Predator, he shot many bad guys with it. He loses it about 75% of the way through the movie and and goes all Indian/warrior which was cool though Predator = classic.
