That may be true, but don't sell Franken short. He does have a degree from Harvard and he did host Air America for a long time.
If we are going to judge Franken by the success of Air America we are in big trouble.
I have to somewhat blame Moonbean for bringing up the side issue of competence, even if Franken is superbly qualified, not only because he is Harvard educated, but because he majored in Political Science.
But still its a side issue, election are not decided by the competence issue, elections are decided by who gets the most votes. In theory, voters do not vote for incompetent candidates, but given some of the winners of some elections, we end up with some real incompetent idiots on both the democratic and Republican sides.
But I still have to ask Fear No Evil, do you really think Rush Limbaugh should run for political office? After all, Rush has made a success of himself on talk radio and therefore should be more qualified than Franken. Is that what you are trying to imply?
Because then we bring up the toxicity factor, Limbaugh may be loved by a small minority but is hated by a larger majority.
