On behalf of ColdWarz, I present to you the best LAN party that's come to this part of the region! It's being held at the Fargodome and will start at 4PM on June 11 and will run until 10PM on June 13th.

Tournaments:
Counter-Strike: $625 for the team (5 players/team - $125/player)
Unreal Tournament 2003/2004 Deathmatch
Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat: 6 players/team - Prize to be announced

Competitions:
*Best Case Mod
*Geek Jeopardy
*More to come

Regarding the World Cyber Games Regionals tournaments:

It's official as of today! The staff of Coldwarz is proud to announce that the World Cyber Games WILL be holding regional qualifyers at this summer's Coldwarz Summer Meltdown LAN Event. WCG will be running regional qualifiers for:

Counter Strike Condition Zero 1.6 (5 vs 5)

All others below are 1 vs 1 PC

StarCraft BroodWar
WarCraft 3 The Frozen Throne
Unreal Tournament 2004
FIFA2004
Need for Speed Underground

And XBOX Tourneys!!!!! -
Xbox Halo
Xbox Gotham City Racing 2

The winning team in CS gets a free trip (airfare and hotel) to the team USA qualifyers. The top 2 places in each of the 1vs 1 (& Xbox) tourneys get the same trip. If they win at that level, they get a free trip to the World Cyber Games playoffs to compete against teams from over 55 countries from around the world!!!!!

AND - WCG is bringing their own machines to play on. PLUS - they are donating prizes for Coldwarz to give away for our own contests - the more people register, the more prizes we get. So - tell everyone you know!!!

Admission is $35 at the door, $25 in advance. To register in advance, please see our main site for further information and links. (http://www.coldwarz.net) Oh yes, there will be free parking for everyone!

Yeah, but I'm up farther North for the summer...and I don't wanna lug my PC up there...and I don't have headphones...and I don't have most of those games.

I have 55gb free on my gaming drive (80gb WD 7200rpm w/ 8mb cache).

But I'm not going, so it doesn't matter.
