coldplate thickness ?

Hello it's Kryptor from France

I'm running a watercooled system which I would like to use with a Peltier. So there will be several layers : first my CPU, then a coldplate, then the peltier, then the bottom of my waterblock. I'm wondering which thickness I must choose for the coldplate. On one hand a thin copper plate will transfert heat faster to the peltier and the the waterblock, on the other hand it seems a thicker copper plate could carry heat a bit further from the CPU first and then heat exchange could take place.
Any opinions about that ?

Thanks very much for your replies.

Since no one else has an opinion (unbelievable) I'll give you mine. I'd lean to thicker cold plates to give tempature stability, however it must not be so thick that the plate allows the core to heat up while the other side is cooling down. How thick are you thinking? Copper right?
