ColdHeat soldering tool experience question

Has anyone used the ColdHeast Soldering Tool? Just wondering. I've done a lot of soldering in my day, and this seems absolutely awesome if it would work. Please let me know, as I'm going to be doing a lot of soldering with the wires in my case...
Tas.

I've not personally used one, but i have heard very good reviews of them. My friend has one and he claims they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. He uses it only for xbrick mods tho

I used one at work for some soldering work, but it didn't work very well, and it was very easy to break the tip. However, I think I wasn't using it right, either, maybe. It was hard to control it, it seemed to me. Anyway, I don't know if this is helpful. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Cheers,
Jeff

My mom bought one and I tried it once. What a total piece of junk. It's probably about as effective as taking 4 AA batteries and shorting them, which seems to be how it works. I have a cheap little 30 watt soldering iron from Radio Shack which works 100x better.

LOL.... when I saw the title to this thread I thought (or maybe hoped) it was sarcastic 😀

I'll sell you a little gadget that will let your car get 300 mpg for only $29.95.... but get it quick, the government is trying to put a stop to it 😉
