It is absolutely freezing ... I'm talking testicles in the chest cold.

Currently -33 celcius (-27.4 fahrenheit), tonight -39 (38.2 fahrenheit). That is without the wind ... which is howling this morning. When I came to work this morning the windchill was -52 celcius (-61.6 fahrenheit).

Going to have the conversation with my wife tonight about warmer climes :D

No getting around it, that is just downright COLD.

Do they have full-serve gas stations there? I could see that being a big plus.

Nice day in Minnesota today: 46F right now. :D

Considering a couple weeks ago it didn't get above 0 for the whole weekend, i'm not going to complain.

Yeah, the full-serve stations get plenty busy right around now. You know it is cold when you have to gear up for the 20 second walk from the car to the door at work. It is beautifully sunny as well, but that just doesn't help anything.

As Melty said, prime gaming/movie watching/breeding weather :)

It'll be heading back to -10F'ish by tomorrow night or wednesday night, but after that it's 20s.

It's like a spring day, today, though... Isn't it??

I'm thinking of heading out more in your direction ... perhaps even a little further west onto the island ... just have to convince my wife!

Dude, wtf is wrong with you? Tampa, 63 today and I was chilly. Seriously, this is almost something primitive. As in why the hell would you choose to live somewhere that cold? Don't give me the bla bla bla about jobs and moving and settled in and hard to pick up and family and wtf... move. Do it it, get up and move.

I love weather like that.

Unfortunately here it is not that cold. But it has been snowing hard all day, which is a bonus.

anything above 50F is way too hot for me.

It is a bit of a quandry really ... I love the town we live in. Gorgeous river valley ... and for 8 months of the year it is a fantastic place. During the depths of winter however, it does become a bit of a drag driving into work in the dark, and home in the dark, and massive heating bills.

The hardest bit, as MrLee alluded to about moving is the family aspect. I'd love to turf my job in an instant ... but my wife's family is from here, my family lives relatively close by, and we have tons of great friends here. Personally, I also love the snow, and don't mind normal cold, but this is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind living somewhere I could golf more than 6 months of the year (though my wife might have other ideas).

Wait a week or 2, right now, at least here in Coquitlam, it has been 3 days of Snow Warnings. That said, it certainly is a lot warmer than where you're at. :D

I don't know anyone who raves about Peace River that much...

BTW: -30 where I am now, windchill -47. Supposed to be -40 overnight... celsius for all
