I don't get the appeal of that place- it's like thick softserve ice cream, and then they mix a bunch of crap into it with chopper things....wtf?

There's a place called Handel's near me- now THEY make good stuff. All hand made fresh every day 😀

You in Ohio I'm guessing? Coldstone also makes their ice cream in store everyday. Both (Handel's and Coldstone) are good, but neither hold a candle to Graeter's Ice Cream in Columbus and Cincinnati.

I am with you. I went to Cold Stone a few times and ordered a 'mixed in treat' and never really liked it. Then I discovered the beauty of just ordering Cake Batter (flavored) ice cream by itself in a pint. Now I love the place. If you go there specifically for that flavored ice cream and just leave it alone it is a feat of frozen beauty.

Also, I can vouch for the ice cream cakes there too. They are good.

In summary, down with mixins !

I live near Times Square in NY and walk by this place atleast 1-2 times a day. I've tried them out a few times but never got a cake...will check it out!
 
Good stuff but too expensive for me. Its more of a once a month treat than a daily thing.
I could buy tons of porn for the price of eating there daily. Same reason I dont patron Starbucks and I dont smoke.

There is one of these places right next to my house. I have been there once, what an overpriced gimmick. I am with the one guy who says they just take some ice cream and mix it on a board with metal things and think that it is better. Besides Frozen Custard beats ice cream 10 to 1, try somewhere like Culvers if you want a good treat.
