when i take cold showers, my diaphragm spasms out and i have an incredibly hard time breathing while i'm still under the cold water. does this happen to anyone else?
 
When you said diaphragm... my mind went in a totally different direction and I got one funny mental image!!

I sometimes get something of the sort. After I go swimming, which is always in my freezing pool. I normally have a weird breathing pattern. More annoying than serious.

Yeah, same thing happens to me. Just try to take slower, deep breaths.
