This is a repost and shouldn't be in Hot Deals. There is a thread in Off Topic that you can search for. In it, Anand himself suggested that he'll be opening a replacement site for it soon though.

It would be nice if the data from resellerratings.com was given to anand to use.

Although it is off topic, I'm glad he posted it here because 1) I never read Off Topic and 2) MANY people who read the hot deals forum use Reseller Ratings.

Good post BlackAspic!

Anybody know another replacement for RR? Bizrate doesn't have a lot of sellers that RR had.

Glad to hear there maybe a replacement...

However, this was already posted and locked in this forum.

I triple that exactly!

Perhaps if Anand has some plans he should reveal them and tack this up at the top of the forum?

I was just there the other day, they could have given warning. Maybe they didn't want ppl ripping the contents of their site like I would have?

HOW TO CONTINUE VIEWING RESELLERRATINGS:

Use google's caching features. Unfortunately this requires several trips between the cached pages and google searches.

If you know you want the "A" index, enter the following into google: http://www.resellerratings.com/a.html then view the cached page.

For the main page just enter http://resellerratings.com/ because some indexes are of combined letters

Locate the company, right click on the Comments link, and pick Copy Link Address, then paste that URL into a google search box. Select "Show Google's Cache" for the result that appears.

It may not be quite up to date, it is a pain in the ass, and you can't add ratings, but you can still find out about that company you never heard of before!

"Is there anyone making a ResellerRating replacement?"

It's already done, just waiting to be launched

Take care,
Anand

4X Exactly...quadruple that.

I don't go to OT all the time so it's really helpful for lazy people like me to have people post some OT stuff to keep me current.:D;)

Or check it out with the wayback machine here.

In this case, it's "way back" to 9/01, but still better than nothing.

VERY sorry to see it go.
