Cold heat soldering tool

It looks really handy for tight jobs such as speaker installations (what I need it for). Anyone have one and would like to comment on how it works?

STAY AWAY

they suck...a co-worker bought one to try it out, and we basically both just ended up laughing our asses off at how much it sucked

Did it melt the solder at least?

Ya, and it will be used for stuff like soldering fan wires together, really small jobs.

Not really. Even if it did melt the solder, it couldn't heat up enough to transfer it to where you needed to solder.

Trust me, pay the extra $$$ and buy this. I use this one 4-5 times a week with a 1mm tip.

about twice as much and doesn't ship to Canada. Chances are i'll used it MAYBE once a month.

then go to the Canadian version of Radio Shack and buy the cheapest electric soldering iron they have. Just read some of the amazon reviews on the cold heat tool.
