Cold Hands = Bad circulation?

1. You need to turn the heat up. I had to start turning it to 80f to get the apartment to be 70f. Bloody stupid heating unit
2. Bad circulation
3. You're not eating enough are are in "starvation mode". A common sign is cold hands or feet
4. When you're walking around, you'll be warmer due to circulation/movement. Having poor circulation or insufficient heating in the apt. will be noticable one you stop moving and you start feeling the effects of ambient temps when not moving.

Is there any way to alleviate this? This isn't a periodic thing, my hands and feet almost always get cold really fast and take a while to warm up.

I always have cold feet. i have to have socks and slippers on and that does not help. Last night before bed i soaked my feet in a really hot bath. Sometimes its so bad they hurt.

my hands are fine though heh

I went skating last night - biggest rentals were 13, too small for me but I wore them anyway - too tight around my foot, but because they were small I couldn't tighten them over my ankles well enough - anyway, after 3 hours on the ice I took my skates off, and my toes felt like ice to the touch. I was a little worried, because they'd been numb for at lest an hour and a half before then, but with a little warmth feeling and heat returned.

My hands are almost always cold. It's a combination for me of low BP and low food intake. I tend not to eat a whole lot (I eat when I'm hungry and stop eating when I'm full) and despite eating some very high-calorie foods I don't eat in sufficient quantities to have a bunch of excess caloric intake to burn off through heat.

Hands are typically cold also because of high surface area and fairly low insulation. They're basically radiators from my point of view.

My fingernails are usually way cyanotic. It's disturbing to people when they notice it. Hands aren't numb, just usually very cold.

How old are you, if you're a teenager it possible that it is just your age. I get the same problem and the only way to fix it is to wear waaaaayyy more clothes than I normally would.

FYI: I am 17
