Cold fusion a reality?

interesting article, I read half way though. how about this for a conspiracy theory: the experiment actually DID work, but the US government coerced everyone into saying it was false, and is currently conducting research on cold fusion in secret!

I posted this in Highly Technical also. I was wondering if it is reality or not? If it is it would be a good solution to some of the worlds problems.

Why did you link to a site that is really not scientific at all? They even tout Psychokinesis .

If cold fusion works, then why not scale a reactor to run a research wing of a University or something? The fact of the matter is, it was shown to NOT work. The two guys who introduced it decided to have a press conference before submitting their work for peer review. That, in and of itself is very suspect.

Except if it really worked, scientists in some other country would already have developed it, probably a high-tech but oil-poor country like Japan.

There was no spoon.

The Amazing Randi can explain spoon-bending and other "real" feats of psychic powers.

Good for who? The chump who somehow convinces the UPO to grant him a prior art patent on it based on some ridiculous claim?

If it was real it would get real expensive for people real fast.
