Cold Cathode

I installed a dual red cold cathode in my cm 690 case and when i play music there is no light ,why ?

First thing is are you sure it is a sound activated model? Even the sound activated ones have a manual override for constant-on, so you should test it to make sure it works.

If it does work, then it isn't detecting sound. How the sound activated models work is they have a microphone that picks up the sound from your speakers. If you are using headphones, or the system is on the floor and the speakers are on your desk, it won't pick up any sound. Some of them have a sensitivity adjustment dial which may help.

i have a speaker and a head phone ,i tryed speaker music and it didnt work ....

Those are not the sound activated models. If they stay off when your computer is on, then it will be one of these possible problems:

1) Hooked up wrong.

2) Dead.

3) Switch not turned to ON position.

This one is sound activated, but is in a 15" size which is more difficult to fit.

I still have some cold cathodes from my "blu-led" phase... They are SOooo not cold.. wtf..

Does it have enough room for to cold cathode light ?

Trust me, ive had a few, they tend to burn out really quickly due to the variable load the CCFL's need to be induced at.

Go with the regulars.

Also if u use UV CCFL's over time they do bleach the interior of your board.
Ive had a few bleached by CCFL's back in my ricer days... ahh memories..

If your dual cold cathode that you have now isnt labeled as sound activated, than it is a regular one. If it is supposed to be, you should be able to turn the sound activation off and have it just be on all the time.
