I made the mistake of buying a cold cathode light off newegg not knowing it didn't come with an inverter. i went to a nearby fry's and picked up a generic cold cathode light with inverter. Can i mix and match the different brand lights? What specifications do I need to check? (Wattage, Ampage, Power, etc.) I don't want to burn out any of my compnents.

Thank you.

amperage typically.

CC lights operate at HIGH voltage (over a kilovolt) while maintaining a low current flow. As long as the inverter operates at close to the voltage as the CC, then things should be okay. If not, the color will be off.

The longer the light is, the more current it draws. And the current is the thing thats going to kill the inverter.

I should have just asked it this way from the beginning. Sorry.

Light 1:
Output Voltage: 0V~580V
Output Current: 5.00 +/- 0.03 mA
Optimal Wattage: Up to 2.9 Watts
Outline Dimension: 323 mm
Luminance: 5800 nit
Life: 15000 hours

Light 2:
CCFL lamp diameter: 3m
CCFL lamp length: 300mm
Supply Voltage: 620v
Lamp current: 5mA
Brightness: 30,000cd/UF
Average lifespan: 30,000 hours

Will I have any problems?
