Coin in Mazda3 shifter

Well a coin just fell out of my hand hit the shifter and went down inside in my 2007 Mazda 3 Touring. Does anybody have any idea if that will cause a problem or a way to tear the shifter apart to get at it?
 
shouldnt cause a problem as thats just a linked to a cable(most likely) under there

does it have a soft shiftboot or a gated shifter?
 
It has a gated shifter. It hit the hard plastic and slid down inside then I stupidly shifted it and it fell.
 
the console in the middle comes out really easily, just pop it off (there are some screws in the armrest/storage thingy)
