Hi,
I have the PSU and system in my sig. All was running great until a few days ago when I noticed a high pitch noise coming from my box. The pitch changes with mouse movements, most noticeably in games, it does happen in Windows a bit but you have to get down and listen.
I've had a google around it it seems a fairly common issue, some live with it some don't. Fixes range from changing mouse smoothing, using V sync and changing bios power saving settings.
Regardless, as I have had this PSU for less than 28 days the vendor will pick up and refund me. My question is before I arrange for it to be collected, I need to buy its replacement. Should I just get the same PSU or should I go for another brand? The main requirement is for the PSU to be quiet, especially when not under load.
I will probably be staying with http://www.ebuyer.com/ and wanting to pay around the £70-80 mark, while avoiding Corsair (Due to excessive fan noise on the TX650 V2 that I have also had)
Cheers
