Coil whine on fanless computer

I recently bought this fanless computer for silence, but unfortunately it makes a constant high-pitched noise that is audible a few meters away with the case closed. It happens when an SSD is connected, I tried two different ones with same results. Steady noise with just the power cable, or something resembling chiptune music, depending on disk load, with the data cable also connected.

It gets silent if:
a) no SSD connected at all
b) connecting a bunch of chargers to every USB port (then it's quiet until stuff charges for a bit)

I guess this means the problem is with 5V power. This thing has an external power brick, which connects directly to the motherboard (I think). Which parts on the board would be responsible for making the noise then, and could the "hot glue trick" help here? Anything else I could try?

I had horrible coil whine with my GTX 970 G1 when I first got it. After using it for a month, it eventually subdued and went away. I would wait a bit for the components to break in before doing anything that may potentially void your warranty.

"Coil whine" is generally caused by large, flat surface mount components resonating. You can apply pressure to each exposed chip (a pencil with eraser works great for this). When you find the one that is causing the noise, you can dampen the vibration with hot glue or clear nail polish.
