Coheed and Cambria

Modeps

I've recently been listening to a band called Coheed and Cambria. They've been around since 2001, but honestly they're defiantely worth a listen. I think part of the reason I like them a lot, is due to the lead singers 'geddy lee'-like voice, as well as definate Rush inspired music. Check them out! Heck, they've even got a song named "I,Robot" for you Asimov fans.

:music:we're now up here alone terror on the intercom can someone save us
systems malfunction blast it this damn machine over and out captain
something lurks creeps on the counter top somewhere behind you

The leader singer sounds like a 14 year old who just got kicked in the balls... but I like their music.

Have you ever heard Geddy Lee sing? Same thing 🙂

these guys sound so much like a better Rush 🙂

I really dig Rush, but C&C has just enough of a different sound that I may be leaning to agree with you.

I've been listening to them for a while... damn good band, takes a while for people to get over his voice though when I first show it to them.

I dont understand some people sometimes 🙂 it's a great, unique band... unlike most of the cookie cutter crap that is being produced these days.

Well, his voice is rather high in pitch for a male... falsetto exactly? naw, I think it's his normal range.

Yeah Coheed rocks... The last track on the new album reminds me so much of Rush its sickening... I can just picture Alex Lifeson playing those guitar leads in my head...

Just got the new Coheed CD. Dunno why they aren't more popular, probably the singer's voice like everyone says, but its not too different from Rush who are still big. I dunno...

Oh man, I've been listening to these guys for almost a year. Their newest release is a real rocker. I downloaded a few of their songs onto my Rio for use in the gym. It'll really get your pumped up (or it does for me).

i liked the first album. the second album isn't doing anything for me. the problem is all the songs are 8 minutes long with about 2 minutes of quality music in each. i like 8 minute songs, but only if they go somewhere instead of just wanking around and making me wait for the good stuff. talk about someone in serious need of editing. also they are maybe the ugliest band on the planet. 😉 their drummer is very good and the first album was recorded well, but their guitar tones are horrible. so thin and lifeless. gimme a sound with some balls. i do really like the singer. it didn't take me any time to warm up to his voice.

Their music sucks... it gives me a headache. The lead singer is quite annoying and the video makes me laugh at them.

Getting bigger now
Theyve now made the rotation on streaming musicmatch radio! Listening to them right now

I've been hearing a lot about this band lately, so I just went to their site and listened to some samples and downloaded the videos. They're all right, I guess, nothing special. The vocalist, for being a guy who looks like that, seriously sounds prepubescent. Not saying that is bad, just an observation. The music is all right, but the drumming is pretty dry and predictable. The video for "A Favor House Atlantic" was cool and made me laugh though.
