Cognac/Sidecar (cocktail) question

What's an okay Cognac to use for a Sidecar? It's doesn't need to be great, just taste alright for a cocktail. How much should I expect to pay for it?

Regular Hennessey. About 6 bucks a shot.

I got a bottle of Courvoisier VS for $24 at BevMo and it came with two brandy snifters too. How awesome is that?

Not too bad, actually. My buddies and I used to get the Hennessey Privilege ones all the time.
