My boss is Muslim and he drinks alcohol. He doesn't smoke cigarettes or eat pig though.

I just file it under who gives a shit...

The deal is you can trade one for another. You can drink if you don't eat pigs, and you can get gay if you pray 5 times per day. It's like a Weight Watchers point system.

Again...who gives a shit?

He could be a gay alcoholic swine eating coffee swilling smoker for all I care.

Religious people do. Being gay and eating shell fish is why Berkley California is going straight to hell.

Well, if they do then they need to get over their self-righteous judgemental bullshit.

I've never been to Berkley. I'll have to check it out one of these days though to see what all the hype is about.

I was recently told by a coffee drinking, cigarette smoking Muslim gentlemen whom I work with that alcohol is forbidden and that he doesn't drink it. He then went on to tell me I shouldn't drink alcohol either because it's forbidden. So I asked, why is one drug acceptable when the other is not? He didn't have an answer.

Anyone care to explain?

Lots of people use "It is the law" as a reason for a law being correct. It applies to all things and cultures.

It's probably the exact same as every other town that has a university in or near it.

I always drive the speed limit because the ticket for going 5 over is something fucked like $170 :'(

I've lived in a lot of college towns. Berkeley's got the best food of any of them. In terms of scary immorality, though, Berkeley has nothing special.

Do the McDonalds people in Berkley wash their hands after handling raw meat? They don't do that in my town 🙁
