coffee tricks.

sometimes if you go to a high end coffe shop or watch shows on TV, you get the coffe makers who top their coffee with the white stuff and form some kind of a shape(heart, leaf, etc etc).

what is that white stuff they put on there? is it just milk? thick milk?

one of these answers posted already is the correct one... you choose whichever you wanna believe ;)
i am a big fan of latte art, I tried once but you need a good espresso machine that can properly steam and froth the milk to get good microbubbles, and having whole milk helps too.

so it actually requires an espresso machine to work the milk and coffee?

You cant just make regular coffee and pour whatever the white stuff is?
