when the pot is empty at home, i sure as hell don't do anything about it. That's what the wife is for. I still haven't figured out who my office wife is, but when i empty that pot, it is always refilled.

hahahaa :D

What I do is that I take just enough so that I can get away with not refilling the pot.

Or I skip crappy work coffee and pop caffeine pills instead.
Cheaper than coffee, doesn't spill, and no need to be heading to the bathroom every 15 minutes.

Employers probably don't provide the pills for free though because it's easier to OD yourself to death on the things.
Just think of the savings though...:D reduction in time spent in bathrooms, reduction in time spent walking to and from the coffee machine, slight reduction in worker animosity resulting from dickweeds who leave the pot empty, and no need for coffee supply delivery service or a commercial-grade machine. I may be slightly biased, as I find the taste of plain coffee to be awful.

The office provides coffee...

For free

It provides cream

For free

It provides sugar

For free

FFS they even have cups if you can't manage to bring your own. But why is it universal behavior to leave an empty pot on hot burner? Jesus Christ, if you can't muster the effort to throw out the old coffee+filter, put in a new one, and HIT A BUTTON (yes, the machine has a water line), can you at least flip the goddam switch to turn the hot plate off so the pot doesn't get destroyed?

I guess not... like EVER.

AARRRGGGHHHH

I have a Keurig.

I wonder how many pots of coffee made at work, the average workplace, are decaf. I can't handle the caffeine and I'm guessing not many pots are made decaf in the workplace. I can just mix decaf granules in a cup and microwave it I guess.
