Coffee Gurus - cometh! Coffee bean question.

Hey everyone,

My new coffee machine arrived, its a grind a brew. Being a acid reflux sufferer i need a coffee thats low in acid and has a light body ( not to strong, not a dark roast).

Can anyone recommend a good morning bean?

Thanks! 😀

Kona is a very smooth coffee.

Stay away from the 10% Kona blends. Only go for 100%.

Trader Joes sells 13 oz. 100% Kona Medium Roast for $20. You can also buy online from other companies (i.e. Google it).

IMHO, 100% Kona coffee is the tastiest, smooth coffee I've ever had. Well worth the premium charged.

jamaican blue mountain i have heard is an excellent coffee
when you get it, roast it to a light roast... blue mountain shines with a light roast
any premium bean you want a light roast anyway, dark roasts carmelize the sugars in the bean and destroy the complexity of the brew.. which makes it a very expensive, yet nothing special coffee.. but light roasts the speciality beans are very good..
you might want to get either a dedicated coffee roaster, or a westbend poppery II hotair popcorn popper.. it can roast coffee perfectly

French roast.
Or a morning roast.

french roast is rather dark iirc

i honestly don't know too much on how a roast effects the acidity levels though.. i'd assume a darker roast would have less acids

Sorry, I only drink dark roast.
If I were forced to drink weak coffee, I'd just give it up and drink tea or something....

lol
darker roasts have less caffeine and taste worse because everything that makes up the body of the coffee starts getting destroyed the darker the roast is.. city roast is probably the darkest you wanna go if wanting the best flavors
