A plastic funnel... seriously.

Me too, I like it better than my Mr. Coffee, the coffee is much better. I'd need to have a really nice coffee maker before I used one.

Make sure you get a grinder and use whole beans. Makes a big difference in the freshness and taste of the coffee.

its really irrelevant unless u use the wrong size coffee maker for the task. like if u brew one cup with a 12cupper, it won't warm the water enough for that little amount for decent extraction. some have a small batch mode, most dont. more important is the bean and freshness of said bean.

I replaced a Mr.Coffee with a Cuisinart machine. Works great and has a nice retro stainless steel style similar to the Bun machines of the 50's. Makes gooOOd coffee. 😀

Yes..that's it. Yours is an updated model. Mine has a square window around the LCD. The oval looks better. Everything else looks the same. Got mine at costco for 69.00 which I thought a bit pricy but I could have spent more else where.

Mine

We only spent $100.00 on ours. We thoguht it a bit pricey, too... but we had bought so many others that either puked out after a few months, or made crap coffee... i had saved a bunch of money by selling off stuff i didnt use anymore... and splurged on this. I was gonna get the one that had the coffee grinder in it too... but have had really bad luck with the grind/brew type machines in the past.

This makes GREAT coffee, doesnt it?

🙂

I have the Cuisinart grind n' brew for free from gevalia about 2 yrs ago, its still going strong. If I need another coffee maker, I will definitely get another cuisinart.

I don't know what brand it is, but the one we have at work has this quirky method of brewing coffee. Apparently there's a reservoir in there that holds the water, and you have to turn on the heater beforehand to heat up this water. It's only when you pour in NEW water that it pushes this OLD water out. I know it's using the old water because it's already hot. So this stupid thing uses old, stale water, possibly sitting there since Friday and it's Monday, and the coffee always tastes like hot dog water. Disgusting. Who designed this damn thing?

😕 I'm no coffee expert, but that doesn't sound right. I know I've seen coffee makers that don't start dripping for like 5 minutes, after you've put in the water and heated it up.

and if i'm wrong, that's freaking retarded. why would they ALL be like that? i don't want to use stale 5 day old water for my coffee. why would they design them that way?

its for commerical usage, where speed is essential, so they can brew one pot right after another within mins, its not meant for a small office that only brew one pot every 5 days.

Isomac Tea for espresso
Bodum Chambord for French Press
Yama vacuum pot for a cleaner cup than the press

No auto-drip here please, thanks.

Bodum french press. Text Culligan under sink water filter. Beans fresh ground, and stored in food saver vaccum sealed container. Way good coffee.
