Leaning in single player is a different story though, it's definitely helpful there and I used it a solid amount in COD4.

rofl @ the "lean is not needed" posts. When a shooter comes out without prone or crouch, then will they be "not needed" because the game is too fast-paced?

Taking out leaning totally removes a huge aspect of many players' playing styles.

lots of FPS games don't have prone either.

I don't see crouch ever going away though.

Maybe you guys that NEED lean NEED to learn to play better? Sure it might be helpful in some areas but I was able to beat the game without it.

Where did this need for lean and prone come from? Prone is extremely useful in BF2 but I have never had a use for lean. It's like peaking but really slow and you gotta find a perfect place on that wall and you may not realize that part of your body is already sticking out as you lean to get a glance of some hallway.
