First of all, does anyone have any experience with this PS. I read another thread about their 300w and nobody seems to like it much. The reason that I am bringing this up is because I can get this 350w for $33 shipped at OpenLinux. Anybody got any goods or bads? It is AMD recommended. This PS is just going to power the essentials, motherboard and drives. I will have another handling the fans. TIA!

I got the Codegen 9000 case from OpenLinx that has the 350W PSU. I'm hoping this will power my dual-Athlon setup once Epox puts their board up for sale. The 350-watter isn't the one on AMD's preferred PSU list, but its specs seem to meet the requirements. I guess I'll find out in a few weeks.

Thus far. no complaints on this case & PSU. Paid $77 or so shipped, I think. I'd buy from OL again.

I've used that PSU in more than a few builds and never had a problem.

Typical configuration was KT266A mobo, 1.4GHz tbird, 512MB DDR, Geforce 3 or Radeon, 60GB HD, DVD, CDRW, floppy, modem, NIC. Pretty complete systems.

I've used CodeGen PS's in almost all of my systems and the ones I build for others and haven't had any issues at all. Works very good for me.

I had a problem with a abit KT7 133 MB running a 1.2 athlon-c (266)
would not run stable W/antec pop300x PS over 1gig
the codgen fixed it. I now use these all the time from openlinx.com
there shipping is slow but good company just order ahead of time .
I get 4 at a time S/H $13.00 and the ps's are now $26.00 I think
great PS cant go wrong with these

Not sure if this helps you out much but www.mcglen.com has Codegen ATX cases with 300 watt AMD approved Power Supplys for $25. Thats case AND PS. Shipping is $15 but it still may be a good deal if you need a couple of things there. I've ordered many items from them and I've never had any problems. Just search "Codegen"

Just bought one 4 weeks ago for my new rig. It is running great, and is very cool! (as opposed to hot).
I had before a 300w Enermax that was running very hot. My case temperaturers dropped with the codegen PSU.

One thing I like, is the possibility to hook the monitor to the PSU (Like in old AT PSUs). Saves me one plug.

Update, new system is up and running, PS seems to be working fine. I do however have all the fans on a seperate PS. FYI!
