Codec Info for an Mpg?

Howdy,

We have an MPG file that won't play on a couple people's laptops. Is there a way we can find otu what codec it's supposed to use so we can go download it? I normally use GSpot but it says it doesn't support MPG files...

There are several Freeware programs that work well.
Codec Finder (latest version is 5.1), and Codec Viewer.

Well, Codec Finder only takes AVI so that doesn't help. I'll try the other one.

Welll, they both only do AVI files... I need an MPG codec finder type thing...
