Codec Configuration Guide?

A couple of months ago--I think sometime in November--I used a guide for tweaking codecs and filters within the combined community codec pack to better view movies...However, I did not bookmark this post and after having reformatted I would like to use the same setting as I was able to get some good results. I am hoping someone might be able to point in the direction of the guide...
