If you're not running a server should this worm be a concern to you? In other words, can the worm just infect my computer if I'm on the internet?

No and if you run NT and 2K and are so stupid as to not patch these way-old holes, you deserve to get it :) See my sig, that will most certainly detect the holes that allow script kiddies to nail your 2k/Nt server.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're running win NT/2000 and you happen to have IIS installed (you may have had it auto install when you got 2000 installed), then you could be at risk, but I think only if you have IIS running and only with these operating systems.

If you're worried go to the link on microsoft or at the cnn.com new article and check it out - the patch.

Well, I'm running ME on my computer (not my choice). So basically, just surfing the internet I'll be ok?

You're only at risk if you actually have IIS running, because if it's not running your computer won't respond to any requests on port 80, which is how the worm transmits.

You are open to getting it if you are running IIS on your Win2K box and if you are running an UNPATCHED Cisco 6XX series router as well, so check your DSL Router and if it's a 675 (I know all my friends' are!) PATCH THAT BAD BOY!!
