Ok, here's a rundown: I'm running a HP Pavillion a1610n, AMD 64x2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20GHz processor with a 1GB HD. I recently upgraded my gfx card to a 9800GTX and my power supply to a BFG Tech 650. After getting everything installed and updating my drivers, BIOS and chipset, everything worked fine for a while. Then I started getting some framerate and game freezing issues. At one point I had to manually power down my comp and on attempting to reboot I got a NTLDR missing error, so to fix this I did a system restore. After the restore I got the HP system configuration code purple error. After doing some research (and after some help from these forums), it seems the only way to fix this is to send my comp in to HP (it's out of warranty) or re-install windows. How do I re-install windows when I can't even get my system to get past windows loading screen?
Edit: Also, instead of re-installing windows or sending my computer back to HP, would it work if I took out my new card and went back to the integrated gfx that came with comp and re-installed my old power supply. Or am I going to run into the same problem since I had to update my BIOS after installing the new card?
