Is anyone here still playing this? I just got it from a buddy today and started playing online. I just came from xbox gaming so I'm sticking to low player servers. I haven't played this in years but its still as good as i remembered it. This game is nuts on pc with a bunch of people, very fast paced.

Im playing regular td til I level up then ill be spending my time in hardcore only servers. I know there's been 4 games released after this already but there's a ton of people still playing it online, lots of server choices

Wow I thought the xbox guys were bad about bitching in game. The pc guys are really bad. Playing on down pour this guy kept camping in the grass and got me a couple times. I had a idea where he was so I started spamming flash grenades at him til I got a hit marker then I spammed regular grenades til I got him.

He got so mad calling me a noob grenade spammer. It was so funny, I waited in a bush for him to come back, sure enough he came right back and I stabbed him in the back. Needless to say he had some hardcore nerd rage going. He called me everything but white. I wasn't thinking I should of recorded it with fraps for you guys to see.

I'm really surprised because I thought the xbox guys were bad but this is by far the worst I've had someone go off on me online.

Yeah, people like this are a pet peeve of mine. Whatever they do is OK, but if you frag them, then you are a noob and this and that and whatever. Most of them are panty-waisted wusses that wouldn't dare talk like that to someone's face.

There is at least 20 everytime just for team deathmatch. I will check it again tonight but so far I've had no trouble getting into a game right away

I suggest checking out promod for COD 4 if you want CS/Quake like gameplay where the skill ceiling is raised so a skilled player can chomp on some noobs

Did you update to 1.7?

I ran a CoD4 server until just before BF3 came out and there were over 17,000 on the master server list to choose from before I quit.

That's awesome. Love it when people rage like that after getting owned.

Still fire up COD4 all the time when I just want to relax, and play a relatively mindless game. Team Deathmatch still has lots of players. Check out the =FF= servers (Fatality Forces?). Their servers are well populated, and pretty well policed.
Love the nade spamming story! Those guys are always hilarious.

I play cod4 more then anything else. Still getting use to the controls since I just came from xbox 360, I had to give up on the console for good.

Do any of you guys play hardcore team deathmatch? It's so different on pc compared to xbox. On xbox people would camp, move slowly and games would take a long time to play. On pc people are running all over like its regular deathmatch. I like the slow paced style but I've yet to find a server where the game is played that way.

I'm having a blast with it on pc, I think I just hit level 12 or 13. Can't wait til I get claymores so I can slow my playing style down a bit, I getting jacked up running around.
