Got it first on the PC, did the SP then really got into the MP. Love it so much I bought it for the 360 too. This way I can play on live in my apt. or my GFs apt. as I have a 360 there also. And if I feel like booting up the PC I play on that. Same game but obviously not as good MP on the 360 as on the PC but still very good.

Fun CoD4 multiplayer = hardcore search & destroy with ~ 20 players imo

yeah imo 20 players is the max even on the larger levels, for all game types. Can't stand maps full of players.

<edit> I especially don't like the small maps....lots of spawn and die.
That's the best part! I loveloveLOVE "Shipment" precisely because it's like fighting in a phone booth! Craziness!!!

The single-player part was short and tightly scripted, BUT it was a total blast. COD4 was the first shooter that didn't totally blow with a gamepad. I finished this and then turned to Halo 3 and couldn't believe how awful Halo was in comparison.

I found it very boring, but I'm in the minority. A lot of people absolutely love it and swear it is one of the best MP games to come out in a long while.

KT

It was insane fun for a short time. Like 2 weeks. Then I got bored of it and sold it in FS/FT for a $10 loss after shipping.

Ugh, I hate Shipment... the only thing it's good for is grinding some of the weapon stats.
A game is no fun when you can't even take a step after spawning before you get killed.

COD4 had an incredible SP mode for its kind. Was really amazing. The MP is great if you play with good people and good servers. I play on good search and destroy servers that are similar to a CS style but more realistic feel. They have rules like no nade spam, no early air strikes and choppers, no run and gun, no noob tubes... lol This shows that tere are alot of deficiency and balance issues with COD4 MP, but good servers usually make up for it.
