COD4 on Macbook Air

I installed Call of Duty 4 from the app store ($26, but used an iTunes gift card I received for Christmas). It runs pretty decent! The mba gets hot when playing and the fan runs full steam ahead. There are not too many lags when playing the game. So I'm happy I installed it. I'm not a real gamer, but it's nice to have a good game to play on the off chance I'm not being productive. Anyway, just letting everyone know my experience and that I am pleased. Thanks and happy new year AT!

Is that with a 2011 model Air?

I haven't gamed with my 2010 Air apart from some indie crap, but it should actually deal better with COD-like games due to having a stronger GPU.

How much space does the game take up? I just bought the same model and would like to be able to have some use for it offline.

It takes just under 8GB when installed. It took a long time to download from the app store (about 3.5hrs). I let it download overnight. I've been playing it some more. I can play for about an hour, then the heat really increases and the internal fan gets louder. I generally turn the game off after that long. I'm sure the mac can handle it, I just don't want to chance melting anything inside.

I've been playing on the trackpad. It's not hard. However I bet I would be far more accurate using external mouse. Right clicking to zoom (use scope) on the trackpad can be tricky.
