COD4 installation/uninstallation problem

I forgot what exactly I did, I think I just deleted the COD 4 folder a while back. So I'm trying to reinstall it now but the install disc when it comes up only has the uninstall option, it apparently recognizes the presence of the old files. I hit uninstall, it starts to work then tells me I need to log in as admin. My account is an admin, so nothing I can do there.

Win 7 64 bit. Any ideas? Obviously having deleted the folder didn't cut it...

Any way to perhaps find them on the HDD and permanently delete them so the install disk won't recognize the files?

MOD EDIT: Moved to PC Gaming. - Zap

You'll probably have to search for all of the references to it in your registry and delete them.
