COD4 Gimme's....

Im fairly new to FPS, and the COD line.
But has anyone noticed that in "Kill Cams' sniper's shots are no where near you?

I make my fair share of "WOW, i made that shot?", but its just an observation...
Its sort of like there is a margin of error built into "kill" range or what ever you call it...

I think the reason you see that is that you see your console's version of that time period, not the host's version or the version from the guy who shot you. Because of network latency, everyone is seeing something slightly different on their screens. The kill cam is not what your opponent saw, but what your console thinks he would have seen.

I don't know how CoD determines hits though.

sometimes things register somtimes they dont. as mugs mentioned its all about latency and registry. i could prefire all day and maybe 10 out of those 30 bullets would hit and trying not to waste your whole clip. also might want to add that late firing helps cause registry comes out of those first bullets iono about the rest. just shoot to kill hopefully you'll knick him

The kill cams are not exact; they are approximations of what happened, according to IW.

and the games "bullet speed" is a bit slowed, IMHO.

COD4 on Xbox360 has some of the best gameplay I have ever experienced on a console as far as I'm concerned.

I also owned CoD4 on PS3 and it is no where near as fluid. I dnt care what the PS3 fanboys say, PSN kills COD4. I mean, Bog for example, is completely unplayable. Everyone I play with on the PS3 has no idea how fun bog can be because no one will play it on PS3.

The worst latency issues are with GoW2. The matchmaker just sucks at picking the host.

No. Sounds like complete fanboy console bashing to me.

COD4 latency? Huh? I'm a COD4 fanboy, but only because it sports some of the best gameplay, performance, and stability the 360 can offer.
