COD4 Arcade Mode

Check it out! Check out the video above and try and tell us that the guys over at Infinity Ward haven't gone out of their way to create one helluva game. If it's not obvious already, Call of Duty 4 will include an Arcade Mode (complete with next gen yet very old school NES menus) in which you'll get to mow down wave after wave of baddies. It comes complete with scoring, multipliers and crazy amounts of fun, so we're more than comfortable in giving Infinity Ward an official X3F pat on the back ... conglaturations!

Yes it looks so awesome. Everything about cod looks awesome. The mp beta was so good that I might just sell Halo 3.

Is street date tomorrow or just ship date?

I was going to hold off, but I'm thinking about taking advantage of the Best Buy Wireless Headset offer.

Best Buy is giving $20 off when you buy both the headset and COD4, and CC is giving COD3 out with the purchase of COD4. I already have COD 3 though.

I didn't think it was terrible, but it definitely wasn't as good as the IW developed games.

I played COD3 because I won it in a contest. It wasnt good.
This looks awesome though... that stinks, because what about Halo 3? 🙁

i can't view the movie from work, but I know the arcade mode must be unlocked. it's grayed out when you try to select it and says it's locked. i'm not sure exactly what triggers it's unlocking, but i'm guessing it's beating the game heh.

It starts with a NES 16-Bit looking menu, and then you go into a game where bad guys basically keep running at you and you gotta keep mowing em down. You can get multipliers and points for more/better hits.

Just to clarify the arcade mode is in standard graphics (it's not done in 16 bit). Just something that confused me when I first read the description.

I'm going to bankrupt myself before the year is out, I swear I will. I want CoD4, will probably pick up Rock Band, the wife now wants all the SingStar games on the PS2 after playing them at a friend's house over the weekend, I'd still like to pick up Eye of Judgement based on shear curiosity, I'm still trying to talk myself into buy Warhawk, and I still need to buy Shadow of the Colussus. All this after buying a PS3, God of War, and Guitar Hero 3 in the past week and a half.

I can't view the video at work, but the arcade mode sounds awesome.

dude seriously. Last week was vf5 this week cod4. Next week assassin's creed if it gets good reviews, week after is mass effect, and Rockband. I've preordered all of those. My wife is not too happy about it lol.

Oh and I'll get Kane and Lynch if it is good too but I bet it turns out to be crap.
