COD4 Aimbots

Search on you tube actually lead me to a file to download for the punkbuster proof aim bot hack.

No I'm not going to use it, but I see it online all the time now.

Basically another online game gone to hell from cheating.

Just to let you know it doest exist.

Ah, that kind of stuff has been out for a while now. "Predator"-esque wall hacks with target highlighting, Aimbots, Knifebots.

Yep. I've moved onto the console version (I cant believe I just said that). Its actually quite fun to play in well balanced, cheat free, just the right # of players for the map type games. I'd so gotten used to being spawn killed by air support 95% of the time that I forgot what it was like to actually enjoy the game.

What's so surprising about cheating in COD4?

I don't condone it, but it's a given that there will be cheating in this game and every other game that comes out.

Also, just because you've been getting owned the last week or so doesn't mean you've been a victim of cheating.


Also, you should delete this thread as there are probably people that didn't know about these "punkbuster proof" hacks. I for one didn't know these hacks were downloadable.

Send the link to Even Balance and they will update the database so it kicks people with it. Problem resolved.

every single online multiplayer game in existence has cheats for it. this is nothing new. the cheaters will always be 1 step ahead of the anti-cheat clients. that's just the way it is. it's not just a cod problem.

I've played too many hours of TF2 that I care to count. I've noticed no cheating. And I don't hear anyone complain about it over voice or type it into chat. Then again, I may be lucky that the servers I visit are all clean.

I've never really cared about aimbotters too much; I just assume everyone is better than me (they are) and that way I never get caught up in it. Most of the servers I play on are pretty quick to ban anyone they think is aimbotting anyway.

This is why PunkBuster should DIAF because a well moderated server will be hacker free. CS:S is the same way as CoD4, it's just that VAC is a lot better than PB at everything.
