CoD World at War cxan't change the aspect ratio

When I try to change the aspect ratio from 4x3 to 16x9 nothing happens. Is there an alternative way to change the aspect ratio like in a console?

No, I did not accidently change it. It was set at 4x3 just after I installed the game. Then I tried to change to 16x9 and it would not go.

'Auto' generally has not problem setting 16:9 for 1920x1080 displays. I've also never had an issue manually setting 16:9 via the in-game menu. That said, you can manually set 16:9 via the ini:

(Show hidden files and folders)

C: \Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\(profilename)

Edit config.cfg (or config_mp.cfg to change MP)

seta r_aspectRatio "wide 16:9"

Does W@W not have a console to change the aspect ratio?
