Besides bragging rights, is it really worth loosing all your challenges and weapons? What do you gain from Prestige made anyway?

you get a neat little icon that shows you played the game for a long time or you joined a hacked server.

No, getting a pretty icon in a game that will likely be replaced/forgotten about in a year or two is pointless imo.

If you play the game a lot anyways then go for it, otherwise i wouldnt bother :)

If you are one of those people that starts to lose interest in playing because you have reach max rank and got all the unlocks, by all means, move on to prestige mode.

Otherwise, don't bother.

I did it when I had the game for the 360. At first I liked having an extra custom class slot, but I ended up regretting it. Never got back up to level 70 before I sold the game.

I wouldn't do it. Focus on creating the best possible classes to be effective.

I did it once to get the extra class slot. Only played it back up to like level 10, though :p

Same here, I did the Prestige thing and played back up to around level 35. You get an extra custom class, but I rally only used 2-3 classes anyway.

It is a little challenging though, so if you're getting bored but still want to play, maybe do it.

I got to prestige 4 level 60ish. I would still be playing except for the extreme number of hackers in S&D now.

I did it because I spent so much time playing anyways, and I felt like it forces me to try out different load outs instead of just playing the same two roles over and over which holds my interest for longer.

Personally I enjoy the small "tokens" like frequent rewards for playing. I know that I shouldn't since I am basically just getting things that I already had, but then again I also like the achievements etc.

I think the person who said that if you play an obscene amount of the game go for it.

If you feel like losing ninja or one man army would ruin the game for you don't.
