When I payed almost 60 bills for Doom 3 ... 6 years ago, I told myself never ever will I buy a game that they rip you off. PC games should be 39.99 at worst 44.95 not , 60 bills plus tax for some peep. I live on a budget where I have no money to spend but I can live and eat and sleep and survive,,,

I was just thinking about buying it before I heard there was a bunch of hackers on it. Now I get to test it for free and see if it's worth buying, which will be nice so that I can judge it for myself without spending 60 dollars on it.

Anyways I tried playing again last night and very first game in Ground War I got aim botted.

The SP is where that game is at, MP is a pass unless you plan on investing you life into becoming a hardcore player

there are no "servers". all games are hosted by the players. so the PC I play the game on could also be the server for that round.

MP does not require investing your life. I usually only play for a few hours on weekends, I am lvl 70 (highest level) unless you then go for the prestige levels (then I can see where it would take a lot of time to go through those or if you want every achievement in the game, but its certainly not required) and have all weapons and almost all of the accessories unlocked for most of the guns.

The friend that I play with regularly has 2x more deaths than kills is also level 70 and has most things unlocked.

Just proves that people who bash the game know nothing about it.

Sorry but I have 3 different CoD games and you can't just get in online and be any good. The second you get in game you're dead. Move an inch and your dead. Dead, dead, dead.

I'm playing the game on other people's PCs. Did you even read the article you posted? It says dedicated servers WITH HACK. You have to hack the game to use those. The default game does not have dedicated servers.
There are no servers in the usual sense in MW2.

You must suck ass if you die instantly in any CoD MP (hey, it's what they told me when I said I died instantly in BC2).

Unless you tried playing before 7pm EST (I think this was when it started today) or it was delayed.

Otherwise when files are missing like that it's usually just a problem of not being downloaded correctly, so if you "verify local files" or whatever, Steam usually detects it and downloads it, and it's fine.

Started today at 4PM PST. I tried it at 5:30PM.

Also did the verifying the integrity of the game with no luck. Changing the language settings of the game is what fixed it. The problem was that the pre-load was more of a pre-pre-load and the rest of the pre-pre-load would not begin downloading until after I changed the language setting.
