COD MW season 4 patch just hits, slow DLs

So COD MW just launched a 50 GB patch for season 4, and the download from battle.net is very slow. One work around I tried to get it to go faster was connecting to the Asian server to patch. From what I hear now, from some friends in the EU, all the downloads are slowing down, probably overloaded servers. Lucky I got mine downloaded in an hour or two. Sounds like Blizzard / Activision should invest in better infrastructure and / or allow torrents in their launcher.

50GB size for a patch alone is astonishing. That's bigger than the entire biggest game I have installed right now.
