COD Elite: what a cluster#$%#$

Has anyone been able to use the Elite service yet? It took multiple tries to complete the registration but that's as far as I've ever gotten. WTF did I pay $50 for???? I know I am not the only one having trouble with it, but damn I feel ripped off :$

Yea... I don't think anyone has been able to get into it yet. Really though... I know you paid but I assume it'll be working within a few days. I don't think elite will be any less valuable 3 days from now than it would have been on release day?

My life isn't over that's for sure :biggrin: You'd just think that they would be prepared for the avalanche considering how much they hyped it prior to release. If it was up to me I'd only open it to subscribing members first, until the dust settles, then set free account loose.

I was able to log in to the elite website today, took many tries though (did not pay for the extra elite stuff).

It was neat, not all the features of the website were working, but it shows your career stats for every option of the game (i.e. gun type, accessory, perks, maps, etc...). It also has map overviews and shows the map spawn points for different game types. You can also change your classes online and then push those changes to the game for the next time you log on to multiplayer.

I had heard they'll have a feature called Heat Maps, which show your KDR overlayed on the physical location of the map, but that service wasn't working.

Elite is a neat service, but albeit pointless in the grand scheme of things.

You're getting an extra month of COD Elite free because of the launch issues. That was a pretty quick response by Activision so give them credit there.
