when I try to install cod 2 i get " not a valid win32 application" what am I doing wrong?

Is this a real copy of CoD2 or a "downloaded" one? If you "downloaded" it, it's probably corrupted or just a fake. If you legitimately downloaded it, just redownload it.

If you actually bought a copy on a disc, try a different CD-ROM drive. If it works, then your CD-ROM drive is having problems. If it doesn't then the discs might be screwed up. Go back to the store and exchange it.

wow no idea. how olds your windows install? try reinstalling i guess...windows that is.

I did google that but it does not direct me to a fix. i am a software dummy. This is the disc that shipped with my new EVGA 7800 GT vid card so I doubt it is fake..
this is a 4 week old install with SP2............I just built the rig and have HL2. and other games allready installed and playing very nicely i might add!!

yes tried it in different puter and yes i have e-mailed EVGA
waiting on answer i think its a bad cd

why do people say reinstall windows all the time? The game is the problem not the OS as I stated before, there are many games on my puter that are up and running perfectly fine!! the install is only 4 weeks old ....jeesh

Yeah why do you think so many people prefer consoles? So they don't have to deal with this sort of sh!t.

Hehe I am glad that you're going to get a new game. Sometimes it can be a tough battle when it's a "free included with" this or that package game. I rarely would say reinstall Windows, unless it's an old install or some other weird errors are happening. Good luck!
