Hm, the one weird thing going into this is... is there a best way to watch YouTube content? I normally just watch YouTube content on a browser on my HTPC, but if I want to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime Video in a more "cinematic manner", I'll use my Apple TV to get features like Dolby Vision/HDR10, and better aud -- oh wait, Apple TV doesn't bitstream. I guess I don't know if there's even a point to use a secondary device? I do see that Cobra Kai offers 4K, but how about audio or features like HDR?

Alright, I looked into it, and the YouTube app for Apple TV is pretty lame in that while it supports a 4K render resolution, you can't go above 1080p for video quality. What a waste. Not to mention that their quick sign-in system is pretty bad. I have a YouTube account under my Google account, which the YouTube account is used for everything. However, their quick sign-in system only allows me to select the Google account to tie with the app. I have to use the longer sign-in method to access my YouTube account.

Watched half the episodes last night. I dunno why I like it, but I do. I mean it's not the best TV show in the world, but I think they do a good job of being "self aware" and the story, while not new, is actually decently done.

While Johnny is still supposed to be the "bad guy", I'm not quite sure if you're supposed to cheer against him as he's the one training the kids being bullied by the cool kids. They've written him a great "personality" and situation and outlook on the younger generation.

All in all, I think the show is pretty darn good... for what it is.

I finished watching them all, and I know what you mean. You can watch it, admit that it's not going to blow you out of the water, but it's easy to keep watching it. Although, if I had to give the show one black mark, it would probably be that the drama around episodes 7-9 felt like it was teetering dangerously close to The CW line.

All in all, I'm curious to see what they do in the next season.

Yeah - you get it. It's not a masterpiece, but it's done well enough and there's enough nostalgia in there that you can't look away.
Will make note of ep 7-9. I think I stopped at episode 6 so....

I watched the first episode last night and how pathetic Johnny became - drunk, odd job, worn out Firebird as the daily car, living in a cheap apartment and eating bologna. LOL @ the scene where he was watching TV (Iron Eagle) and the commercial came on and you guess it, it was about the company of Daniel and Johnny could not change the channel because the remote control broke at the worst time possible.

Love the 80's music. Good time then.

Haven't seen any trailer in theaters. It is (and always has been) a YouTube Red series. COMPLETELY recommended.

It could have just been a regional thing. I can't remember if you're in California or NC, but if it's the prior, I could see them advertising a bit more since the show takes place in California.

I hope I remember what happened with season one by the time season 2 comes out. Hope they bring back more of the old characters like Terry Silver. John Kreese was a great ending in episode 10. I hope everyone watched to the very end of episode 10.

If you don't have something like Spotify, YouTube Red isn't too bad of a thing. With YouTube Red, you also get Google Play, which provides a good amount of streaming music. You also get ad-free viewing in the YouTube app as well as the ability to download videos. I went the reverse direction and took a Google Play 3-month free trial, which in turn, also gives you YouTube Red. I was just tired of the awkward third-party YouTube apps on iOS, and now that I have no ads with the main app, I'm good!

I'm still not sure this needed to be made. While I enjoyed it well enough, it's def low budget. The writing is better than the show delivers. The balance between Lawrence and Larusso is interesting. I liked how the more

Lawrence gets his life together the more Larusso's seems to fall apart. I also really enjoyed the very complicated relationship between Lawrence and his kid, that gets even more so once he starts liking Larusso.

Just watched all of it. I think I LOVED this far more than I was expecting. The trailers didn't do it justice. Anything that makes you root for the "bad" guy is great in my opinion. Though I think they went pretty far to make Danial extremely petty and unlikable.
