Is there a difference in frequency and direction for Coaxial Splitters? I'm trying to get a better TV signal from the Antenna on my roof, I bought a cheapo 2 dollar splitter and the Reception is decent but if I bought a high quality one with gold plated connectors would it make a difference? Also what is the difference between frequency? The one i used says 2GHz satellite splitter

a splitter isn't gonna do much of anything. You need an amplifier or repeater which will boost the signal.

For TV, you'll want a splitter that is typically 5-900Mhz. Satellite signals run over 1Ghz.

And, you want one with low-loss (<3.5db).
