COA license product key......what is it?

Besides needing the CD key to install the program, what is this for? When you buy the program, are you buying the license? So, I bought a laptop that had a COA license w/ CDkey sticker on the bottom. Am I entitled to use the program legally, even though it didn't come w/ a physical CD? So can I download a crack or warez version, and I'm using it legally?

iamme, the COA sticker w/ the CD Key typed on it IS all you need to use the program legally, no warez or crack is needed, hope this helps
