It's me. I hurt my back. I called in to human resources at 8:00 a.m. Alan called me at 2:00 p.m. to talk about tomorrow's customer visit.

He knew I wasn't in. You just didn't know he knew.

It's me. I left a voicemail for the receptionist at 7:45am when I realized I was too hungover to come to work. Besides nobody likes a guy smelling like vomit, cigarettes, and sweet and sour mix coming in to work no matter how sharply he's dressed. She said she passed it on to Alan but I guess he's keeping you out of the loop because he mentioned something about gradually cutting you off until he has something to fire you for. I'll be back in on Tuesday so have a great weekend.

According to Janet in HR, you did not follow procedure and you need to schedule a meeting with her and me for next week sometime.
